Bishop Named New Head Start Director
(Green Bay, WI.) The Cooperative Educational Service Agency 7 (CESA 7) Board of Control is excited to announce the hiring of Shelly Bishop as the organization’s next Head Start Director effective May 1, 2023. Shelly has worked in the CESA 7 Head Start program since 2007 holding the positions of Teacher, Children Development Manager, and most recently, Children’s Services Director.
Bishop replaces Kim Larson, who is retiring after serving the past eight years in her current role as CESA 7 Head Start Director. Prior to her arrival at CESA 7, Larson spent 20 years in Head Start as a Family Service Worker, Health Coordinator, Assistant Director and Director in Michigan.
“We have watched Shelly successfully guide our Head Start child development services during her time at CESA 7, and I know she will use that same dedication, innovation and passion for student success to lead our program to a new level,” Larson said. “The Head Start program has a strong management team along with very talented direct services staff to support her successful transition.”
