The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation seeks educators, parents, and community members to read and evaluate applications for the 2025 Wisconsin Teacher and Principal Awards. Reader scores will determine the award finalists and, ultimately, the award recipients. To clarify, the Student applications have been discontinued.
Teacher and principal award recipients will receive $6,000 personal grants and matching $6,000 grants for their schools.

A few items to note:
Everyone is welcome to be a reader! Teachers, administrators, school board members, retired educators, parents, community members, and business professionals can all sign up to review applications and participate in the selection process.
Scoring can take place anytime and anywhere! All you need is a computer and internet access—no printing or extra materials are necessary. The scoring process typically requires about 20 to 30 minutes for each application. Before you begin scoring, you must complete a brief online training session. Throughout the process, scorers will have access to additional guidance and support.
Readers must complete the online scoring within the specified time frame. Applications will be open for scoring from January 9 to February 14, 2025.
