We are deeply grateful to the George Kress Foundation for their generous financial support, ensuring that the Northeast Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship (NEWYA) Consortium can continue providing comprehensive career exploration and support to the students of northeast Wisconsin.
As participation in Youth Apprenticeship has grown by over 50% in recent years, state funding has not kept pace, creating a funding gap for consortia across Wisconsin. Thanks to partners like the George Kress Foundation, we can continue delivering these transformative opportunities at no cost to our consortia schools.
Together, we're shaping the future workforce by connecting students with meaningful career experiences and empowering them to succeed.
"The Green Bay Packaging George Kress Foundation was established in 1953 by George F. Kress. He firmly believed that by improving people’s lives, we strengthen our community as a whole.
Today, George’s love of people and dedication to our community continues through the many contributions made by the George Kress Foundation.
Locally, we focus on supporting nonprofit organizations that align with our funding priorities and may also support specific community needs in areas such as arts and culture, civic engagement, education, and health and human services. The Foundation is committed to investing in improving our communities today and for the future." - George Kress Foundation
