Dr. Jill Underly, State Superintendent of Public Instruction in Wisconsin, visited the Luxemburg-Casco School District on February 15. She got an in-person look at the district’s wide variety of career-readiness programs, while also learning about them directly from students and instructors.
Superintendent Glenn Schlender and Director of Learning Services Mike Snowberry showed Dr. Underly the district’s facilities and programs which are dedicated to preparing L-C students for post-graduate opportunities within the work world: the Ahnapee Diesel Center, Ahnapee Automotive, the high school’s Manufacturing Lab, and the Ahnapee Regional Youth Apprenticeship program. Schlender and Snowberry explained the goals of each program, sharing some of their positive student outcomes.
